Mervyn Keegan is the Director of AONA Environmental Consulting Ltd., an independent consultancy specialising in Environmental Impact Assessment and Licensing.

Mervyn has over 20 years of environmental consultancy experience and his main areas of professional expertise are in Acoustics & Noise Control and Air Quality & Odour consultancy, including impact assessment and mitigation design.

Mervyn is a full member of the Institute of Acoustics.

Mervyn holds a Diploma in Environmental Science (IT Sligo 1995), a Bachelor of Science Degree in Applied Biology (Coventry University, 1996), a Master of Science Degree in Environmental Science (Queens University Belfast, 1998) and a Post Graduate Diploma in Acoustics and Noise Control (University of Ulster).

Mervyn has previously worked as an Environmental Consultant with RPS Ireland and WYG.

Mervyn has produced Noise, Air Quality & Odour Impact Assessment reports to assess the impacts of a range of development types including road schemes, residential developments, industrial developments, quarries and mines and a range of renewable energy developments including wind energy developments among others.

Mervyn has appeared as an expert witness at oral hearings, public inquiries and legal proceedings.

Olivia Maguire is a Senior Environmental Consultant with AONA Environmental Consulting Ltd., an independent consultancy specialising in Environmental Impact Assessment and Licensing.

Olivia has over 15 years of environmental consultancy experience.

Olivia is a member of the Institute of Environmental Management & Assessment.

Olivia holds a Bachelor of Science Honours Degree in Geography (Queens University, 1997), a Master of Science Degree in Environmental Science (Queens University Belfast, 1998) and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Occupational Safety and Health (With Distinction) from IT Sligo (2018).

Olivia has previously worked with the Northern Ireland Environment Agency and Marenco Environmental Consultants as well as a range of freelance ecologist roles on public sector projects.

Olivia’s role involves the delivery of a wide range of environmental and occupational health & safety consultancy services to public and private sector clients in the following areas;
• Occupational Health Assessments including noise at work and indoor air quality surveys.
• Appropriate Assessment in accordance with the Habitats Directive.
• Environmental Noise & Air Quality Surveys.
• Air Dispersion Modelling.
• Environmental Permitting Applications and Compliance Monitoring.
